Silvio Vigliaturo

Silvio Vigliaturo was born in Acri, a town located in the Southern Italian Region of Calabria, in 1949. When he was still very young he moved to Chieri, a town near Turin, where he currently lives and works. Artist and glass maestro, his technique has always been characterized by a strong emphasis on research and experimentation. Since his first exhibitions, in 1977, up to the most recent participation to the Italian Pavilion of the 54th Venice Biennale, held in 2011, and the important solo exhibition at the Regional Museum of Natural Science, in Turin (Summer 2012), Vigliaturo’s artistic journey has been marked by constant evolution.
