Railway Travel posters produced for the Great Western Railway (GWR) promoting rail travel to the county of Devon and the coastal resorts of Cornwall, England. This large series of posters represents what could be called the golden age of the railway poster, depicting the British seaside in an idyllic, romanticised or glamorous way. Many talented and famous artists like Frank Newbould, Leonard Cusden, Harry Riley or Ronald Lampitt designed the images. The posters’ designs date back from 1920s to 1940s.
